In 2004 Liz Branden was a promising young professor at a liberal arts university. On October 31st, she entered a 48 hour period where she went from being slightly suspicious of her colleagues to a full blown psychotic break, including locking herself in a hotel conference room and being taken to the psych ward by the police.
Over the next two years she went from being a critical care patient in lock down who was not expected to be able to work again, to a world-renowned teacher, scholar, and community leader.
